Abstrak
SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalpinang which is located at Jalan Mayor Haji Muhidin Pangkalpinang is a school of Dutch heritage. Management procedures incoming and outgoing letters are applied to the Administration Administration of Press / Archives SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalpinang this time from receipt, manufacture, and storage of mail is still done manually. Documentation of incoming and out going letters only in the form of letter writing in the book controllers, resulting in the accumulation of the recording so that when correspondence is necessary then to look back, the search process can not be done quickly, and physical storage media archive incoming mail and letters out the media requires a broad and large, resulting in accumulation of archives, records obtained thus still less fast, efficient, and less time saving quest. Correspondence Archiving Information System will display information about the data collection, management of incoming mail, outgoing mail management and report generation.In such a system will be designed database using UML (Unified Modeling Language), and object-oriented methodology to be produce interactive interface design, and patterns of interaction between officers with the system. With the management information system made incoming and outgoing mail at SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalpinang, it is expected to assist and facilitate staff press administration / archives in improving the quality and quantity of management information systems incoming and outgoing mail as well as improving the quality of services that are more effective and efficient.
