Abstrak
The aim of the thesis was to produce concrete results in providing comfort or ease of turning on or turning off the lights in the house everyday life, especially for people with physical disabilities or the elderly which is difficult to stand up or reach a light switch. The method used in the manufacture of home lighting control based microcontroller using android smartphone is a prototype. This research method consists of several stages, library research, analytical methods, methods of design and implementation. The results achieved are improving aspects of comforts and conveniences for the physically disabled and the elderly, which is difficult to stand or to reach a light switch and terimplementasinya infrastructure devices, where a series of these tools can work after bluetooth devices available on android smartphone is connected to the module bluetooth connected to the microcontroller arduino. Basically the principle use of this tool the user must be able to operate a smartphone based on Android operating system. The conclusion is this equipment has been tested and can be used as a medium android smartphone light controller via a Bluetooth connection without having to press the switch of the lamp.
