Abstract
Computer technology development handled map moved from analog map to digital map, which know with Geographic Information System (GIS). According that things then people develop GIS with used internet technology that named Geographic Information System Based Website. In this research will bulid Geographic Information System for traffic accident prone-area in Pangkalpinang city. The purpose is help Satlantas tell better where the traffic accident prone-areas in Pangkalpinang city. This system use Quantum GIS 1.8.0 Lisboa as software to make digital map, MS4W and Pmapper as localhost for map file .shp so it can be show in website. Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 is used to make website page, for database used XAMPP Lite 1.7.3 and website programming language use PHP and Javascript. The Beginning for building this system is collect the data, then processing digitalized special data. Then continue with website building that begin from design the web page, design the database system. The final result of all the process will be unite then formed a Geographic Information System for traffic accident prone-area based website in Pangkalpinang city.
