Abstrak
At SMK Bakti Pangkalpinang, academic processes are still created manually or not computerized. This causes loss of student data and the data search takes a long time because of the lack of a database to store data. The purpose of this paper is designing a data processing system of student academic information on SMK Bakti Pangkalpinang, make ease administrative staff for saving and searching student data that has been inputted, that system can useful for administration staff and can be used in a long period of time and computerized academic information services make SMK Bakti Pangkalpinang become school-based ICT(Information and Communication Technologies). The methodology used to achieve these goals is observation, study of literature, and interviews. In the design of academic information system applications that use Microsoft visual basic for as an interface and Microsoft Access 2007 for database. With the implementation of academic information system at the desktop-based SMK Bakti Pangkalpinang is expected to facilitate the TU staff in carrying out the service and academic information about a rapid, precise and accurate.
