Abstrak
The penetration of Information Technology has affected many parts of people’s lives. In big cities, for example, most of people’s activities cannot be separated from Information Technology. Not only in everyday life, Information Technology also has penetrated well into the world of work. With the development of Information Technology, it is expected that it can give a positive contribution to the completion of job duties, especially in the vital areas in an agency. Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU), for example, is a government agency that hold elections in Indonesia, which includes the election of members of Parliament/Regional Representative Council/Provincial Parliament, the general election of President and Vice President, and the general election of Regional Head and Deputy Head. Activity that often occurs in Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) is about the business trip documents in the General Section, Finance and Logistics. All policies to the activities carried out are always associated with document letter, including the business trip. Business trip often becomes one part that is contributing to the success of the elections or other activities in KPU of Bangka Regency. With activities that are often repetitive, there are some problems that reduce the effectiveness in the process of those activities, namely the recording in data collection of the document letter is still done manually and written in the book registers. When there is one of staffs who request data from a certain document letter, it sometimes requires quite a long time to look for the document letter. Unlike the business trip document, when someone is going to have a business trip, the document letter and the receipt will be printed out in advance and are not directly recorded on the register book. It makes the data recording not organized well. The purpose of this final project is expected to help KPU of Bangka Regency in improving the existing system, so that the management of business trip document that has been done manually can be facilitated by an Application System.
