ABSTRACT

Latch is a medium that is used as a way to enter or exit from somewhere. To simplify the job we need a tool that is effective and efficient. The aim of this thesis is to create a prototype of an automatic latch that can open yourself without the help of others. A prototype has been made automatic doorstop. Generally prototype automatic one-way latch is designed using Infrared sensor, microcontroller atmega 16 lcd 16 x 2 and servo motors. Microcontroller receives input from sensors Infrared, then the microcontroller gives output to a servo motor. Furthermore Servo motors serve to open and close the latch. Microcontroller will also provide output to the LCD to display the number of available parking capacity. The program is run using the Software Kodevision and Khazama. The prototype of this automatic latch can make it easier to open and close the latch so as to save time and effort. It can be concluded that the prototype automatic latch can be used as a basis if one wants to make automatic real doorstop.
